Homeless World Cup Diary: Dateline Milan #5

Ed Formoso is an old friend who I've known since our music and band days. No, Ed is older than me it's just that we met in the band scene of the late 80's and early 90's. We reconnected when I was with Solar Sports and we've done a few football stuff together. I'm helping him out with the Homeless World Cup and I enjoin everyone to take part in the Ateneo leg. I'm hosting the April 25 program at LSGH. See ya there!

Ed will be posting his diaries here at Brew so there!

Pleaaaase welcome into our football family--- the ATR KimEng Securities, Inc. through Randy Roxas, its chairman and president. Randy now joins Danny Moran, Patxi Elizalde, Monchu Garcia, and Nonong Araneta as Ninongs of the Milan 2009 Homeless World Cup Project + Program.

By Saturday the 25th of April, teams of homeless footballers from Davao, Iligan, Mindoro and Masbate are expected in Manila to battle it out with Metro Manila based squads for the right to represent the country in the Milan 2009 Homeless World Cup this September.

Healing priest Father Fernando Suarez has donated brand new spikes for the players of Mindoro Oriental who call themselves The Mindoro Sharks! Two 'refugees' from Cameroon will also see action for two different teams coming from Cainta... watch out for them. They're refugees and homeless!

Heaven sent news: MILO has replied with an affirmative email. They will be at the 1st Homeless Fest on April 25! Yes, that'll be heaven for 700 kids when the ice cold Milo starts flowing.... and get this, professional clowns from the USA are coming to the fest as well! Melbourne 2008 Ninong Jeff Long says that the 5 clowns will be around... so it's going to be fun, fun, fun!
