Norway came from two goals behind against the Philippines to notch their first win of the 2008 Homeless World Cup, in a thrilling match that finished 8-4.

Kevin Lagioy of the Philippines opened the scoring in the first minute of the match after he beat the keeper in a one-on-one confrontation.

After the Norwegian keeper left his area, the Philippines were able to convert the resulting penalty through Jay De Jesus.

Within two minutes, the Norwegians used their physical superiority to score two quick goals through Oddvar Anderson.

The Philippines clawed back one goal a minute later, but still ended the first half a goal behind after successful strikes to Trond Laland and Oddvar Anderson of Norway.

Norway were able to pull a further goal ahead after the restart of play when Trond Otto Langenland scored from a precise shot past the keeper.

Jay De Jesus was able to score his second goal of the match and keep the Philippines within a shot of Norway after a clever pass found him open at the back post.

From then on, though, the match belonged to Norway and they were able to score three more goals to end up with a four-goal win over the Filipinos.
