Anderson Varejao is this era's Steve Mix

Anderson Varejao is this NBA generation's Steve Mix. Steve who? If you are an old-time Philadelphia 76ers fan like me then you'd know Mix, who played power forward for the Sixers alongside Andrew Tony, Daryl Dawkins, and Julius Erving. After the 76ers lost in the 1982 Finals to the Los Angeles Lakers, Mix left the team for the Milwaukee Bucks. But mid-way through the season, was traded to the Lakers.

Now that season, the Sixers were re-energized by the acquisition of Moses Malone and Philly met LA  -- and Mix -- in the Finals were they were dispatched in four straight.

And that's where Anderson Varejao comes in. He's this long time Cavalier; a crowd favorite. But this season, he de-camped for the Golden State Warriors. You know, if you can't beat then, join them. Unfortunately for this Brazilian player, Cleveland won its first ever NBA title.

I feel bad for Anderson... (aside from David Blatt). Wonder what he must be thinking about his ill fortune.
